CNC and relief - CNC Art
The CNC is a power tool containing programmable microcomputers for control.
The relief (2.5D modell), is a sculptured artwork where a carved or modelled form is raised from a plane from which rises from the main elements of the composition project.
The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is adapted for moving different processing tools e.g. milling machines to the three directions (X,Y,Z) of the range. Therefore CNC machines are suitable for various millings, as engraving, contouring, 3D-photo engraving, foam carving etc.
The CAD system is used for drawings.
Based on the 2.5D modell, with the help of a CAM system, the CNC is controlled by codes to vivify it into the material.
Relief fabrication with modern technique.
Relief, the basis of the drawing can be a 2.5D photo, drawing, or just a thought.

The 2.5D model is necessary to prepare the relief and it can be done in several ways.
In general, the relief models for the milling are drawn. The first part of the drawing process is to preapare the 2D vector drawing.
Making further changes to the 2D vector drawing we can make 2.5D modell draving, for which we can generate G code.
